Everything You Need to Host a Shrinking Shores Event
Sea Level Rise Signs (Formats include: jpg, pdf)
The sea level rise signs can be printed, mounted on foam core, and nailed to a stake. Use your vulnerability assessment or the mapping tool on Our Coast Our Future to determine where the signs should be placed. It's not an exact science, since we don't know exactly how fast sea level will rise, but generally 2030 = 1 foot; 2050 = 2 feet; 2100 = 6 feet.

Media and Outreach Materials
Contact the media before and after your event. Template news releases for coast and bay shoreline events are included below. Immediately after your event, send a similar release with some short video footage for the nightly news.

It's good to have activities at your table that spark questions about sea level rise and generate interest in participating. Marin County has used the Wheel of Floods, based on the Game of Floods. San Mateo County created bookmarks with suggested ways to get involved.
