Long Range Planning Initiatives
Community Development Agency
The Marin County Planning Division continually prepares and updates County policies and regulations for land use and real estate development. These long range policies and regulations in documents such as the Countywide Plan, various community plans, and the Development Code must be adopted by the Board of Supervisors before they can be applied. Further, initiatives to update policies and regulations often include community involvement and Planning Commission hearings before the Board considers adopting them. Navigate to the Plans, Policies, and Regulations page to find policy and regulatory documents that are currently in effect.
