Development Code Amendments 2024
The Planning Division is proposing amendments to the Development Code (Title 22) to:
- Align with new State laws;
- Put our Countywide Plan updates into action;
- Implement the 2023 Housing Element Housing Programs; and
- Fix conflicting parts of the Code.
What’s next?
A public draft will be available on this webpage for public review and comment. Staff will then incorporate comments into a draft for Planning Commission review.
How will the amendments be adopted?
The Planning Commission will review the proposal in at least two public hearings. The Planning Commission will vote on a recommendation to the Board of Supervisors. The Board of Supervisors will then hold a public hearing and vote on final proposal.
