  • What is the voter’s choice act?

    The Voter’s Choice Act is a law that allows counties to offer voters more choices for how, when, and where they vote. What changed? Now, all active registered voters are automatically mailed a ballot, early voting is expanded for more days, and voters may vote in-person at a regional vote center.

  • How does it work?

    ALL active registered voters are automatically mailed a ballot and have THREE ways to return it:

    • Image of a mail box By Mail No stamp needed!
    • Image of a a safe At an Official Ballot Drop Box No stamp needed!
    • Image of a building At a Vote Center No stamp needed!
  • What is a vote center?

    Voters may vote in-person at ANY vote center in Marin County. Assigned, neighborhood polling places are replaced by regional vote centers that open at least 3 days before Election Day with MORE services:

  • Important Things to Know About This Election
    • Register to vote or update your information at registertovote.ca.gov or contact the Elections Department for a paper application. The deadline is May 23.
    • Your Official Ballot will be mailed to you May 9 (please allow 5-7 days to arrive).
    • To request a translated sample ballot (in Chinese, Spanish, or Vietnamese) or a Remote Accessible Vote-by-Mail Ballot, contact the Elections Department.

  • ¿Qué es la Ley de Elección del Votante?

    La Ley de Elección del Votante es una ley que permite a los condados ofrecer más opciones en relación con cómo, cuándo y dónde votar. ¿Qué cambió?
