Receiving Center Clerks

November 6, 2018 Statewide General Election

Election Day workers appointed to receive ballot scanner and ballots from polling places. After polls close on election night, the chief inspector of each polling place secures the scanner in its bag and the voted ballots in the red supply bag. The chief inspector and one clerk take the bags to a receiving center (a central area near several polling places) and verify delivery with the receiving center clerk. The receiving center clerk confirms delivery by completing a check list. Receiving Center Clerks are deputized to uphold the laws by taking the oath from Article 20, Sec. 3a, of the California Constitution.
