COVID-19 policy

Cultural Services
Know before you go: Marin Center's vaccination and mask policy.

Please familiarize yourself with the safety protocols for indoor performances and events at the Marin Center including at the Marin Veterans’ Memorial Auditorium, Showcase Theater and Exhibit Hall.

Based on the recommendation of Marin County Public Health, we are requiring proof of vaccination for all eligible patrons, staff, volunteers, stagehands, ticket holders, security, concessions and anyone working indoors within our facilities.

  • Anyone 12 and older who is eligible for a vaccine must show proof that they are fully vaccinated*.
  • Eligible children between the ages of 5-11 must either show proof of full vaccination*, OR have proof of a single vaccine dose and a CDC approved negative COVID test taken within 72 hours of entering our facilities.+
  • Anyone 4 years of age or younger must have a CDC approved negative COVID test taken within 72 hours of entering our facilities.+

To show proof of vaccination, please provide your photo ID along with your physical vaccination card, a photo of your card, or a digital COVID-19 vaccine record (QR code) from the State of California. We recommend keeping a photo of your card on your phone for easy access at all times. Please note: photo IDs are not required for children.

For those who are ineligible, including those with medical exemptions, a photo ID along with proof of a negative COVID-19 test within the past 72 hours using a CDC-approved reporting method+ is required as a condition of entry into the venue.

All attendees are required to wear masks at all times while inside the venue, except while eating or drinking in the designated areas.

With this new vaccination policy, we can allow as many people as we have seats to join us safely in our theaters. The health and safety of our patrons, performers and staff is our greatest priority. We hope that this will give you confidence in returning safely to the Marin Center.

Please note that these policies are subject to change at any time based on the current COVID situation.

We look forward to welcoming you back in the safest way possible!

All the best,
Gabriella Calicchio
Director of Cultural Services
County of Marin

*Fully vaccinated means two (2) weeks after the second dose of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, or two (2) weeks after the single Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
