First Indoor & Outdoor Post-Pandemic Fair Exceeds Pre-Pandemic Fairs Revenue
San Rafael, CA – From June 30 to July 4, 2023, a total of 92,076 people celebrated the Fourth of July holiday at the Marin County Fair, generating $1,951,265 million in ticket revenue (up from 2022’s ticket revenue of $1,891,705).
The five-day event marked the return of full outdoor and indoor attractions for the first time since 2019. “The Marin County Fair came back with a bang,” said Director of Cultural Services Gabriella Calicchio. “Everybody involved, from our staff to our volunteers to our community partners, all had a really great time engaging with our community.”
Headline concerts by Blue Öyster Cult, Exposé, Patti LaBelle, Stephen Marley, and Melissa Etheridge entertained fairgoers each night. Fairgoers also delighted in fireworks all five nights, Barnyard activities and pig races, competitive exhibit pieces, Community Stage performances, roaming grounds entertainment, fair food, and more.
