Seats Open on Several Special District Boards

Applications will be accepted through October 21

San Rafael, CA – Starting September 27, the Marin County Board of Supervisors is accepting applications for appointments to the following special district boards of directors:

  • Marin City Community Services District, one four-year seat (full term)
  • Tomales Village Community Services District – one two-year seat (short term)
  • Alto Sanitary District – one four-year seat (full term) and one two-year seat (short term)
  • Strawberry Recreation District – one four-year seat (full term)

The open seats occurred because not enough candidates filed for the seats on the boards during the filing period before the November 8 election.

The application period ends at 5 p.m. Friday, October 21. The individuals appointed must be a registered voter in their respective district.

Full terms will end in December 2026 and short terms will end in December 2024.

Applications are available beginning September 27, at the Marin County Board of Supervisors office, Marin County Civic Center, 3501 Civic Center Drive, Suite 329, San Rafael, CA 94903, by calling (415) 473-7331, or by sending an email to the Clerk of the Board staff. Applications may be requested by contacting the district offices:
