Opening on Human Rights Commission

Candidate sought from District 1

San Rafael, CA – The application deadline has been extended and open until filled for available seat on the Marin County Human Rights Commission. There is one vacancy for a representative of County Supervisorial District 1, which includes Terra Linda, Lucas Valley, Marinwood, Santa Venetia, San Rafael, Peacock Gap, Los Ranchitos, Country Club, and Bayview. 

The commission promotes community-based social justice, with equality for all, and works to eliminate discrimination based on race, religion, color, age, ancestry, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, place of birth, national origin, or disability. The commission provides a public forum, serves as a resource to the community, and advises the Board of Supervisors on human rights  issues. Participation is a chance to elevate the issues that matter to Marin residents and help discover positive solutions.
