San Rafael, CA – The Marin County Elections Department will start the manual tally of the March 6 special vote-by-mail election within the Kentfield School District on March 12.
Elections staff will randomly select ballots to be counted from the March 6 election. Following California Elections Code §15360
, Marin County’s Election Official will randomly select the ballots to be counted. The selection of ballots will take place at 1 p.m. Monday, March 12 in the Elections Department, located in Suite 121, Marin Civic Center, 3501 Civic Center Drive, San Rafael.
The manual tally of the ballots selected will begin immediately thereafter and is a public process.
Registrar of Voters Lynda Roberts anticipates certification of the election by March 16.
