San Rafael, CA – The application deadline is 5 p.m. Friday, March 3, for one vacancy on the Marin County Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Commission representing District 3. Residents who live in Mill Valley, Strawberry, Tiburon, Belvedere, Marin City, Tamalpais Valley, and Sausalito qualify for the opening. The appointing authority is the Marin County Board of Supervisors.
The IPM Commission oversees implementation of the Marin County IPM Ordinance and Policy. It advises and makes recommendations to Marin County Parks’ IPM coordinator and the Board of Supervisors as needed. Applicants with technical and practical IPM experience are desired.
The main focus of the IPM Commission is on landscape maintenance practices and structural pest control activities that take place on County owned and operated facilities.
The nine-member commission meets four times a year at the Marin County Civic Center in San Rafael.
