Marin Community Foundation Board Opening for ‘Poor and Needy’ Representative

San Rafael, CA – The Marin County Board of Supervisors invites county residents to apply for an appointment to the Marin Community Foundation (MCF) Board of Trustees. Applications are due at 5 p.m. Feb. 28 for a trustee who is a “representative of the poor and needy.” The Board of Supervisors appoints one “poor and needy” and one at-large representative to the MCF board.

The Marin Community Foundation’s mission is to encourage and apply philanthropic contributions to help improve the human condition, embrace diversity, promote a humane and democratic society and enhance the community's quality of life, now and for future generations.

Board member qualifications are set out in the application packet and copies of the packet may be obtained in the following ways:

¨       On the County of Marin's website

¨       By calling the Clerk of the Board at (415) 473-7331 and requesting a packet, or

¨       By picking up a packet at the office of the Board of Supervisors, Room 329, Marin County Civic Center.
