School District Election Called for March 6, 2018

Arguments may be filed by 4:30 p.m. December 18

San Rafael, CA Marin County residents living in the Kentfield School District will have the opportunity to vote on a measure to renew and increase local parcel tax funding.

The current annual tax is $1,143 per parcel, and the measure will ask voters if the tax should be increased by $355 per year starting in fiscal year 2018-19.

Written arguments for and against Measure A may be filed by the governing board, members of the board, bona fide associations of citizens, or any resident who is eligible to vote on the measure.

The deadline for filing arguments is 4:30 p.m. Monday, December 18. Completed submission and signature forms are required at the time of filing. Information about the measure and filing arguments can be found on our website. Documents are available for public examination in the Elections Department for 10 days from the filing date.

A sample ballot and informational guide will be mailed to registered voters the final week of January, and official ballots will be mailed February 5. This is an all-mail ballot election, so there will be no polling places.
