Get Ready to Vote!

2016 National Voter Registration Day is September 27

San Rafael, CA – In recognition of National Voter Registration Day, Tuesday, September 27, citizens will have the opportunity to register in several Marin County communities. The last day to register to vote in the November election is October 24, only a month away.

This is a nonpartisan voter registration effort. Here is the schedule of events:

September 27, Tuesday

  • College of Marin Main Quad, Kentfield campus, 11:30 a.m.–3 p.m.
  • Dominican University cafeteria, San Rafael, 11:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m.
  • Novato farmers

September 28, Wednesday, for the West Marin Community

  • Spanish-language voter education event, West Marin School large gym, Point Reyes Station, 6:30–8:30 p.m.

September 29, Thursday

  • Downtown San Rafael farmers market, Fourth Street, 5–7 p.m.

Those who have changed addresses since the last election need to re-register in order to vote in the correct precinct.

Anyone may register to vote at the Elections Department, Suite 121, Marin County Civic Center, 3501 Civic Center Drive, weekdays 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., or online at registertovote.ca.gov. If you would like to hold a voter registration event or volunteer to staff a voter registration event, call Florez at 415-299-0035 to participate.
