San Rafael, CA - The Marin County Elections Office is rolling out the red carpet for registered voters, making the voting process as convenient as possible as the November 4 General Election closes in.
The office at the Marin County Civic Center will be open on Saturday, November 1, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. to offer in-person voting. Voters may also cast ballots in person during regular weekday hours, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., or on Election Day, November 4, from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Registrar of Voters Lynda Roberts reminds voters that have received ballots in the mail to return those ballots before 8 p.m. on Election Day, Tuesday, November 4. Voters should mail ballots at least five to seven business days before the election, or return them to any polling place in Marin from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Election Day.
An additional option is offered for voters to return completed ballots. A red, white and blue secure ballot box will be stationed at the main entrance to the Civic Center through 8 p.m. Election Day. The main entrance is on Peter Behr Drive under the Civic Center’s south archway.
October 28 is the final day to apply for a ballot by mail, online or by phone. After October 28, voters may continue to apply for a ballot in person at the Elections Office located in Room 121, Marin Civic Center, 3501 Civic Center Drive.
