Marin County Voter Pamphlets in the Mail

There is still time to register to vote in the November 4 General Election

San Rafael, CA - Voter pamphlets with information about local candidates and measures on the ballot for the November 4 General Election have been mailed to registered voters in Marin County.

The County pamphlet includes the address of the voter’s polling place, a sample ballot and an application for a vote-by-mail ballot. The state voter information guide, which includes information about state candidates and propositions, also has been mailed to all registered voters.

“The pamphlet and state guide contain important facts about the issues on your ballot, so we urge voters to spend some time with them,” said Lynda Roberts, Marin’s Registrar of Voters. “They might even inspire unregistered residents to get registered and participate in the democratic process.”

The pamphlets, state guides and voter registration forms are available in the Marin County Elections Office, Suite 121 of the Marin County Civic Center, 3501 Civic Center Drive, San Rafael.

The deadline to register to vote in the November 4 Election is Monday, October 20.

County Administrator Matthew Hymel will provide an overview of the statewide propositions during the Marin County Board of Supervisors meeting on September 30. Residents are invited to watch the meeting live starting at 9:30 a.m. on Comcast Channel 27 or on the County’s webcast.

Roberts emphasized that pamphlets and vote-by-mail ballots do not get forwarded to voters when they move. The post office does not forward election mail. Voters must re-register when their addresses change.

Voters can go to the County Elections Department website at www.marinvotes.org to check their registration, update their address or register to vote. Voters may call 415-473-6456 to check their registration and request a voter registration form in the mail.
