San Rafael, CA - Marin County’s Registrar of Voters, Lynda Roberts, today announced that the November 4 General Election has been certified and the official results have been posted. California law requires certification of elections within 28 days of election day, which is December 2.
Marin had 148,976 registered voters in the election of which 89,536 voted, resulting in a 60.10 percent turnout. The turnout in the 2010 gubernatorial election was 76.17 percent.
This was Roberts’ first election in Marin since being appointed in July 2014.
“The election was textbook perfect,” Roberts said. “Everything ran smoothly, and I couldn't have asked for a better team coming into a major election. We are ready to start preparing for 2015.”
