San Rafael, CA - With the deadline fast approaching, now is the time to register to vote in the November election. Voters can register online or fill out and mail a voter registration form, which must be post marked on or before Oct. 20.
Lynda Roberts, Marin County’s Registrar of Voters, said she encourages every unregistered eligible voter to get registered and participate in the November election. The goal is to exceed Marin’s 87 percent voter turnout from the 2012 presidential election, which was the highest percentage in California.
“I believe this election is very important since the issues to be voted on will impact us as California residents,” Roberts said. “The county received a lot of positive attention for the turnout two years ago, and it would be very exciting to see that high of a turnout again.”
