San Rafael, CA – Are you ready to vote in the November 4 election? Don’t forget that you must be registered to participate. In recognition of National Voter Registration Day on Tuesday, September 23, citizens will have the opportunity to register in several local communities from September 20-25.
“Your vote is your voice, and we hope people in our communities who are eligible to vote but not registered, will take advantage of one of the many opportunities coming up during this week-long event,” said Lynda Roberts, Marin County Registrar of Voters.
Veda Florez, Communications Outreach Coordinator for the Marin County Elections Department, has been working with local nonprofits to coordinate the events. "Anyone who can vote should vote,” she said. “Register now because every election is determined by the people who show up.”
Volunteers are needed to help staff the voter registration tables, so if you would like to participate, please call 415-299-0035. This is a nonpartisan, voter registration effort. The final day to register to vote in the November election is Monday, October 20.
