Audio Recordings of Ballot Measures Are Available

CDs include state propositions and local measures

San Rafael, CA - Audio recordings of the state voter information guide and of the local measures on the ballot in Marin County for the November 4 General Election are available at the Marin County Elections Office.

The office sends copies of the state and local audio recordings to more than 25 organizations, including libraries, senior care facilities and organizations that assist people with disabilities.

“This program benefits the community, and we receive very positive feedback from the organizations that get the CDs,” said Lynda Roberts, Marin County’s Registrar of Voters. “In addition, several individuals called us in advance to request copies. We’re glad we can provide this service to voters who are visually impaired.”

Voters may call the Elections Office a 415-473-6448 to request the recordings by mail, or stop by the Elections Office in Room 121 of the Marin Civic Center, 3501 Civic Center Drive, San Rafael. Weekday office hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The state voter information guide also is available in downloadable audio files. Voters can listen online or download the files to an MP3 player.
