NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the Marin County Registrar of Voters that a Special Election will be held in the Bolinas-Stinson Union School District on Tuesday, June 4, 2013.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the following measure will be placed upon the ballot at said election and read as follows:

Bolinas-Stinson Union School District Measure A
Bolinas-Stinson Union School District Special Tax Assessment for Education Programs. Shall the Bolinas-Stinson Union School District continue funding quality educational programs by levying a special tax assessment of $300. per year per assessor’s parcel for a limited period of six (6) years, beginning July 1, 2014, with an exemption for any beneficial owner of a parcel who has attained the age of 65 on or before May 1 of any applicable year, who uses that parcel as his or her principal residence?

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that arguments for or against the above measure shall not exceed 300 words in length. The Registrar of Voters of Marin County shall print an argument for and an argument against the measure in the sample ballot which is mailed to all registered voters in the district.
Arguments for or against the measure, with signed verification form, should be submitted to the Marin County Elections Office, Room 121, Marin Civic Center, San Rafael, California, not later than 4:30 PM. on Monday, March 18, 2013. The governing board, or any member or members of the board, or any bona fide association of citizens, or any individual voter who is eligible to vote on the measure, or any combination of such associations and voters may submit written arguments for or against the measure.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that direct arguments for or against the measure may not be changed or withdrawn after 4:30 PM on March 18, 2013.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that when the Registrar of Voters has selected the arguments for and against the measure, copies of the argument in favor shall be sent to the author of the argument against and copies of the argument against shall be sent to the author of the argument in favor. The authors may prepare and submit rebuttal arguments not exceeding 250 words. The rebuttal arguments must be filed with the Registrar of Voters by 4:30 PM on Monday, March 25, 2013. Rebuttal arguments shall be printed in the same manner as the direct arguments. Each rebuttal argument shall immediately follow the direct argument, which it seeks to rebut.
A verification form, available from the Election Office, must accompany all arguments and rebuttal arguments. Forms are available at www.marinvotes.org. For further information, contact the Elections Office at (415) 473-6437.
All materials pertaining to the measures will be available for public examination in the office of the Registrar of Voters for ten (10) days from the date of filing.
