Implementation

The implementation phase for building the new County website began July 2022 and will continue into 2024.

In the implementation phase, we will work with each department to add their content to the new website. Each department will be assigned:

  • Digital guide (a member of the County’s digital team who will help you learn how to use the new content management system)
  • Content coach (an expert who will help you learn how to organize and write good website content)
  • Accessibility resource (a member of the County’s digital accessibility team who will provide guidance on accessibility)

We are organizing the County departments into cohorts for implementation. Once all departments have confirmed their cohort timing, we’ll add that information to this page.

Phases

There are three main phases to implementation:

  1. Prepare
  2. Build
  3. Continuously improve

Prepare

During the prepare phase we will work with you to:

  • Review analytics
  • Conduct a page and document audit
  • Organize and label your content
  • Learn about plain language and digital accessibility

Build

During the build phase we will work with you to:

  • Learn how to use the new content management system
  • Build your pages
  • Make sure your content is accessible

Continuously improve

The continuous improvement phase actually never ends. We’ll work with you to:

  • Create a process for content review
  • Regularly review analytics and feedback
  • Continue to learn about plain language and digital accessibility
