This is a recap of what we’ve done from April 15 - May 15 and what we’re working on next.

Done

  • Developers updated the identified content page template designs for next release
  • Completed plain language training for content writing to content authors in County Counsel, Grand Jury and Probation departments

Doing

  • Developers continue
    • building back-end architecture and single sign-on functionality to create a smooth and simple content publishing experience
    • creating Cultural Services department and Marin Center home pages
    • assessment of technical scope in migrating Parks website to the new website
  • The design and accessibility teams review and approve
    • the content page template designs to be available for next release
    • the new Cultural Services and Marin Center home pages
  • Continue to refine and develop training process in the new Content Management System (CMS), Acquia, for content authors to build and edit web sites
  • Continue developing process for integrating standalone applications into the new website
  • Board of Supervisors and Community Development Agency continue to analyze and review existing content and documents to prepare for transition to new site
  • Working on developing an usability testing plan to get feedback from participants using the beta site
