Marin HHS Hosts Town Hall in Marin City

It’ll be a great time and place to get questions answered on February 19

San Rafael, CA – The Marin County Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) will host a town hall meeting in Marin City on February 19 to discuss the department’s newly released Strategic Plan to Achieve Health and Wellness Equity.

The five-year plan aims to reduce racial disparities in the access of quality health care and wellness services. HHS staff, including administrators and division directors, will explain those strategies to the Marin City audience with assistance from ISOJI, a monthly group that facilitates equity-building features in marginalized social, health, and economic systems. The event is presented in partnership with ISOJI, the First Missionary Baptist Church, the South Marin Multidisciplinary Team. The Rev. Marcus Small will moderate the question and answer session.

“We have a big department and sometimes it can be daunting task to track down what you need,” said Cesar Lagleva, HHS Ethnic Services and Training Manager. “We believe this event will help residents identify the appropriate person or department that can assist them with particular needs.”

The church is at 501 Drake Avenue in Marin City. The town hall starts with a social hour at 5 p.m. that will include food. The meeting is scheduled from 6-8 p.m. For more information, call Cesar Lagleva at 415-473-2662.
