Headliner Concerts Unveiled for County Fair

‘All for One & Fun for All’ takes place June 30 to July 4

San Rafael, CA – Renowned for presenting world-class music, the Marin County Fair once again announces a stellar lineup of bands every night of the fair from June 30 through July 4 – all of them free with the price of admission.

The Marin County Fair: All for One & Fun for All celebrates the values we hold near and dear: inclusiveness, equality, diversity and of course FUN! We’ll celebrate the arts, agriculture, the environment and our community. In addition to the music lineup, there are carnival rides and fireworks every night.

The concert lineup:

Saturday, June 30, 7:30 p.m. – Michael Franti

Franti is a musician, humanitarian, and filmmaker who is recognized as a pioneering force in the music industry. He believes in using music as a vehicle for positive change and is revered for his high-energy live shows, inspiring music, and worldwide philanthropy efforts. Once an outlier in his message of positivity-minded political consciousness, Franti has found that message gaining momentum in the mainstream in recent years, a phenomenon that compelled him to push his artistry even further, stating “I feel a deeper sense of purpose in music today than I ever have in my career. My goal is to make the most inspiring music I possibly can for this intense, crazy and wonderful time we’re all living in.” He is writing and recording his 10th studio album with A-list producers. It is due out later this year.

Sunday, July 1, 7:30 p.m. – The Beach Boys

The Beach BoysThe Beach Boys
The Beach Boys are led by Mike Love and Bruce Johnston, who are continuing the legacy of the iconic American band along with Jeffrey Foskett, Brian Eichenburger, Tim Bonhomme, John Cowsill, and Scott Totten. The Beach Boys play an astoundingly busy schedule of concerts, averaging 150 sold-out shows a year, ranging from sun-drenched summer festivals to gala New Year’s celebrations and special events across the globe. Recently, the Beach Boys celebrated the 50th anniversary of the hit “Good Vibrations,” widely considered one of the greatest masterpieces in the history of rock and roll. The band commemorated this prolific time in the life of the Beach Boys with a 50 Years of Good Vibrations tour.

Monday, July 2, 7:30 p.m. – To Be Announced

Tuesday, July 3, 7:30 p.m. – Los Lobos

One of the most acclaimed American bands of the 1980s and ’90s, Los Lobos were seasoned musical veterans with nearly 15 years of experience under their belts when they scored their first hit in 1987 with a cover of Richie Valens’ “La Bamba.” Though their time as pop stars was short, the group — “just another band from East L.A.” — won over critics and a legion of loyal fans with their bracing mixture of rock, blues, Tex-Mex, country, R&B, and Mexican folk sounds. The band’s sound ranges from gentle acoustic ballads to the outer limits of experimental rock. Often cited as one of the great bands of Latino Rock, Los Lobos’ eclectic sound defined them as a vital example of America’s cultural melting pot.

Wednesday, July 4, 7:30 p.m. – LeAnn Rimes

Rimes is a multi-platinum-selling acclaimed singer and ASCAP award-winning songwriter. She recently inked a worldwide deal with RCA UK, which released her 16th studio album, Remnants in February 2017. The album debuted at No. 4 on Billboard’s Independent Album Chart in the U.S. and peaked at No. 3 on iTunes overall charts in its first week. The first single released in the U.S. was “Long Live Love,” which reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Dance Chart and held the top spot for multiple weeks. Her second dance single “LovE is LovE is LovE” topped the Billboard Dance Chart shortly after its debut, making this her third career No. 1 dance chart-topper. Most recently, Rimes released the third installment of her trilogy of love with her latest dance single, “Love Line.”
