Opening on Marin Law Library Board of Trustees

San Rafael, CA – The Marin County Board of Supervisors is looking for applicants to serve on the Marin Law Library Board of Trustees. Applicants filing before the 5 p.m. April 15 deadline must be attorneys who are members of the State Bar of California and residents of Marin County.

At 124 years of age, Marin has one of the oldest law libraries in the state. It’s an essential resource for law students, court reporters, paralegals, attorneys in smaller practices, and individuals representing themselves in court.

The law library at 20 N. San Pedro Road in San Rafael provides access to legal information through a variety of media, research assistance, and technologies needed to give practical expression to the law. According to its mission, it maintains a flexible and supportive presence that fosters the ends of community service and social justice.  In each California county, a Law Library Board of Trustees is established and governed by California Business and Professions Code Section 6300-6307.
