November Ballot Includes Several Local Measures

August 19 is the deadline for written arguments in favor or against a measure

San Rafael, CA – Marin County residents will have the opportunity November 5 to vote on local measures that include school and municipal issues. Written arguments for and against the measures may be filed before 4:30 p.m. August 19.

The measures on the November 5 ballot include:

  • Reed Union School District Measure E, asking voters to maintain academic programs by renewing a parcel tax.
  • Town of Fairfax Measure F, asking voters to extend a special municipal services tax.
  • Town of San Anselmo Measure M, asking voters to approve a special tax to provide ongoing maintenance of 93-year-old Memorial Park.

Arguments for or against Measure E (Reed Union School District) are filed at the Marin County Elections Department, and arguments for the municipal measures are handled by the town or city clerks. Submission and signature forms are required at the time of filing.

Information about filing arguments can be found on our website. Documents are available for public examination in the Elections Department for 10 days from the filing date. A sample ballot and informational guide will be mailed to registered voters the final week of September, and official ballots will be mailed October 7.

The Elections Department is in Suite 121 of the Marin Civic Center, 3501 Civic Center Drive, San Rafael. Weekday office hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
