Done/doing update (November 1, 2022)

This is a recap of what we’ve done from October 19 – November 1 and what we’re working on next.

Done

Develop inventory of existing non-departmental web content (programs that run across multiple departments or countywide initiatives)
Started content working sessions with departments, including an overview of plain language and discussion of content goals
Prepared page audits for departments in the first cohort for review by content teams

Start page audits with departments in first cohort
Continue rewriting content using plain language for the County Administrator’s office
Continue building website components for content authors to use to create pages
Develop technical training for content authors to learn the content management system
Work with County Administrator’s office to review documents and identify ones that can be converted to webpages and online forms, as well as remediated for accessibility
Establish a URL naming convention for departments
