Done/doing update (May 17, 2022)

This is a recap of what we've done from May 4 – 17, 2022 and what we're working on next.

Done

  • Conducted three more user interviews with members of the community.
  • Conducted two more internal stakeholder interviews with County employees.
  • Promoted the website navigation survey to the public and County employees.
  • Compensated user research participants with gift cards. (County employees did not receive compensation.)
  • Continued to plan activities and resources for the implementation phase.
  • Conducted a survey with communications working group and executive steering committee about the overall design direction of the site.
  • Finished a draft report on findings from user interviews.
  • Started developing the content and style guides.
  • Created draft guiding principles.

Doing

  • Analyze results from the website navigation survey.
  • Share insights and recommendations from the user research findings with project team.
  • Get feedback from the communications working group on the draft guiding principles.
  • Identify pages for design concept mock-ups.
  • Continue refining the implementation plan, including site-specific content plans for Parks, Human Resources, and the Marin County Employee Retirement Association.
  • Finalize contract with recommended content management system vendor.
