Done/doing update (March 8, 2022)
Welcome to our first done/doing update. This first update is a little different because we’re covering our progress to-date. For future updates, we’ll cover what we’ve done the previous two weeks and what we’re working on for the following two weeks.
This is a recap of what we’ve done from December 1, 2021 to March 8, 2022 and what we’re working on next.
Done
- Created a project team with members of County’s digital team and lead public information officer.
- Established a cross-departmental executive steering committee and a working group made up of communication experts from several County departments.
- Hired Department of Civic Things to provide strategic advisory services.
- Evaluated several content management systems (CMS) and invited three for final demos with our security team, accessibility team, and communications experts.
- Hired Bloom Works to conduct user research and develop site navigation and design.
- Created a webpage for project information and updates.
- Made a presentation to the Disability Access Advisory Group.
Doing
- Select a CMS vendor and begin contract negotiations.
- Identify user groups for interviews.
- Finalize consent form and process for providing compensation to user research participants.
- Begin recruiting participants for user interviews.
- Develop interview questions and protocol.
- Start user interviews.
