Miller Boat Launch

• Launch your motorized or non-motorized craft from a two-lane ramp or dock.
• Boaters can park overnight. Enjoy an overnight adventure on Tomales Bay or the surrounding Point Reyes seashore.
• Fish from your boat, the dock or along the shoreline for striped bass, perch, rock fish, halibut, salmon, or crab. Don't forget your fishing license.
• Bring your binoculars. Waterfowl, shorebirds, raptors, and songbirds are on view throughout the year.
• Dogs welcome on leash.
• Dock, path, and restrooms are ADA accessible.

• Make sure to display a Parks parking pass on the rearview mirror or dashboard of your vehicle, especially if parking overnight.
• Do not disturb the wildlife and sensitive ecosystems of Tomales Bay. Maintain a 50 foot distance from shore at all times when you are out on the water.
• Marin County Environmental Health Services (EHS) tests water once a week from April 1 through October 31 for California water quality standards for recreational water contact. For details, visit EHS Water Quality Testing.

Miller Boat Launch is located at 23240 CA 1, Marshall. From the town of Point Reyes Station, take Highway 1 north approximately 13 miles.

The boat launch is on the left, adjacent to Nick's Coves and Cottages, 23240 California 1, Marshall, CA.

There is a large parking lot at the boat launch. You must display your entry pass on your dashboard or rearview mirror. Parking fee is $5.

Hike, bike, or boat in for free any time the park is open.

If you have a Marin County library card, you can check out a free library park pass from any Marin County Free Library.

Groups of 20 or more participants, whether formally organized or not, must make an advance reservation. During fall and winter season group reservation fees are half off.

Bus Entry and Parking

• $64 at all times

• A valid parking permit must be displayed on the dashboard of parked vehicles at all times. Purchase a parking permit at the park pay station.
• Do not block boat ramp.
• Fish responsibly. Fishing is subject to the rules of the California Department of Fish and Game, California Department of Fish and Wildlife, and Marin County Parks. Fishing license may be required.
• Protect sensitive ecosystems. Once launched, keep watercraft at least 50 feet from shoreline.
• Dogs must be on a leash. Leash must not exceed 6 feet in length.
• Individuals accompanying dogs are required to clean up and dispose of pet waste.
• Dispose of fish parts and excess bait in trash containers. Do not pollute the waters.
• Shoreline fishers yield to boats and water craft.
• Hold your pole – do not set lines. Two poles maximum per person.
• For safety, walk only on docks and piers. Do not run.
• Keep the boat launch litter-free. Use garbage cans provided, scoop dog poop, and carry out all your belongings.
• Be aware your cell phone may not have a signal when you are out on the water.
• Do not disturb wetlands or wildlife.
• No fires, no smoking.
• No firearms or weapons of any kind.
• No camping.
• Dumping prohibited.
• Be peaceful. No loud noise or amplified music.
• No operating or landing aircraft of any kind, including drones.
• Permit required for groups of more than 20 people.
