Community Workshop Video

The project concluded in the fall of 2015 with a community workshop hosted by the project partners, held at the Mill Valley Community Center. The objective was to “report out” to the community about the project, share the preliminary results, and to engage participants in a deeper exploration of sea level rise-related risks to Marin County coastal areas and assets and of different adaptation options. More than 100 people participated, and half completed an exit surveys at the end of the evening that provided additional insight about the particular benefits of the deliberative conversation.

Here is an edited video of the workshop and dialogue, with presentations from Supervisor Kate Sears, Jack Liebster – Planning Manager from the Community development Agency, Chris Choo – Watershed Project manager from the Department of Public Works, and Dr. Susanne Moser, as well as the workshop and community conversations after the presentations.
