HHS Employee to be Honored at Annual Tribute to Women Event

YWCA Golden Gate Silicon Valley honors Bay Area Women Leaders at 38th Annual Tribute to Women Awards

San Rafael, CA — The Marin County Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is thrilled to announce that Ashley Hart McIntyre, one of the exceptional leaders of County efforts to reduce chronic homelessness, has been selected as one of the YWCA Golden Gate Silicon Valley honorees for the 38th annual Tribute to Women Awards.

Ashley Hart-McIntyreAshley Hart McIntyre will be honored on May 12th at a virtual event.

The awards recognize the achievements of Bay Area women who have not only excelled in their fields but made significant contributions through their dedication and leadership.

Hart McIntyre, Senior Homelessness Policy Analyst, has been leading the transformation of the County’s homelessness care and support model every moment since she arrived in 2015.

Her dedication to reduce chronic homelessness in the County has resulted in several new initiatives to reach homeless clients with more direct health care, case management, and support to help them move from homeless to housed. Under her leadership, all homelessness providers in the County transformed their individual systems of care to develop a single system for the chronically homeless population.

Throughout the pandemic, Hart McIntyre led the County’s homelessness response. With no prior experience in this type of event, she willingly stepped up and was instrumental in developing new polices from scratch. She was influential in leading the programs to help house the most COVID-vulnerable residents through the highly successful Project RoomKey and Project HomeKey programs.

“Ashely is a rare mix of someone who understands the data and policy side of a very complicated human condition yet allows her heart and passion for people to always be part of the equation when advancing programs and policies,” said Benita McLarin, HHS Director.

The 38th annual Tribute to Women Awards, a virtual event, will be held on Thursday May 12 from 6-7 p.m. Event registration is free. See the full list of the 2022 Tribute to Women Award honorees.
