San Rafael, CA – The Marin County Board of Supervisors is seeking applications from residents living in supervisorial District 4 and District 5 to serve as representatives on the Marin Women’s Commission.
The Women's Commission represents women and girls of diverse backgrounds and circumstances and advocates for equality through policy, education, and collaboration. The commission is engaged in a variety of activities to advance women’s equality and empowerment, such as hosting the annual Marin Teen Girl Conference and co-sponsoring the Marin Women’s Hall of Fame. Each year the commission focuses on different topics of importance to the community, and this year it is concentrating on women’s leadership and economic empowerment.
