San Rafael, CA – Starting September 15, the Marin County Board of Supervisors is accepting applications for appointments to five local special district boards of directors.
According to the Marin County Elections Department, the open seats occurred because not enough candidates filed for the seats on the boards of directors during the filing period before the November 3, 2020, election.
The openings are:
- Marin City Community Services District – one four-year seat
- Tomales Community Services District – two four-year seats
- Inverness Public Utility District – one four-year seat
- Mesa Park Recreation District – one four-year seat
- Southern Marin Fire Protection District – one four-year seat
All terms will end in December 2024. The application period ends at 5 p.m. October 23. The individuals appointed must be a registered voter in their respective district.
Applications are available beginning September 15 at the Marin County Board of Supervisors, Marin County Civic Center, 3501 Civic Center Drive, Suite 329, San Rafael, CA 94903, or by calling 415-473-7331, or by sending an email to the Clerk of the Board staff.
