San Rafael, CA – Those on the job hunt should not miss the opportunity to interact with 70-plus employers at Marin County’s free Community Job Fair on Wednesday, May 15, at San Rafael’s B Street Community Center. More than 300 people attended last year.
This year’s event is spearheaded by the San Rafael Chamber of Commerce and is co-hosted by the County of Marin and CareerPoint Marin in conjunction with the City of San Rafael, the Downtown Streets Team, Goodwill and the St. Vincent de Paul Society of Marin. From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., the fair will give visitors the opportunity to meet with professionals from industries that include banking, retail, construction, customer service, health care, food service, and social services.
“Fairs like this give job seekers the opportunity to identify what employers want, to network with like-minded job seekers, to speak with company representatives including the ones that might not be advertised, and to test the labor market,” said Sherry Parr, a Social Service Program Manager with Marin County Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).
