Voting Underway for November 5 Election

Cast ballots in person at Civic Center or request vote-by-mail ballot

San Rafael, CA – Voting for November 5 local elections is underway at the Marin County Elections Department in Suite 121 of the Marin County Civic Center in San Rafael.

The election will include voters living in Reed Union School District, Fairfax, San Anselmo, and Novato City Council Districts 1, 3, and 5.

Any registered voter can cast a ballot in person at the Civic Center during regular weekday hours, or until 8 p.m. on Election Day. 

Those who miss the October 21 registration deadline will need to visit the Elections Department to register and vote. Late registration is October 22 through Election Day, November 5.

Voters who want to get a ballot in the mail must apply by October 29 in one of the following ways:

  • Online at marinvotes.org;
  • By phone at 415-473-6441 or 415-473-6444;
  • In person at the Elections Department during the regular hours, weekdays 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.;
  • In writing by using the application on the back cover of the voter information guide or mailing or faxing a request to the Registrar of Voters, Marin County Civic Center, P.O. Box E, San Rafael, CA 94913. The fax number is 415-473-6447.
