Open Seats on Flood Control Zone Board

Residents in West Marin areas of Inverness and Olema eligible in Zone 10

San Rafael, CA – Residents of the Inverness and Olema areas in West Marin are encouraged to apply for seats on the Marin County Flood Control Zone #10 Inverness Advisory Board. The appointing authority is the Marin County Board of Supervisors.

The advisory board meetings are held annually and include participation by Marin County Flood Control and Water Conservation District staff. Residents with previous board experience, an interest in improving flood mitigation, and a commitment to the community are especially encouraged to apply. Advisory board members serve four-year terms.

Zone 10 includes areas west of Point Reyes Station and west of Sir Francis Drake Boulevard. Applicants must reside in and be registered voters of Zone 10 to be eligible to apply. Additional information about Zone 10 can be found on the County of Marin’s Watershed Program website.
