San Rafael, CA – The Marin County Board of Supervisors is sponsoring three workshops offered by the Marin County Sheriff’s Office of Emergency Services (OES) about how to apply for federal grants earmarked for emergency preparedness uses.
The 90-minute workshops will take place at:
- 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, February 20, Corte Madera Community Center, 498 Tamalpais Drive, Corte Madera
- 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, February 21, Margaret Todd Senior Center, 1560 Hill Road, Novato
- 5:30 p.m. Thursday, February 22, The Dance Palace, 503 B Street, Point Reyes Station
In most cases, applicants for the grants tend to be town and city governments, community disaster preparedness groups, volunteer and service organizations, nonprofits, and houses of worship. Workshop organizers from Marin OES want to help those who have never filled out a grant application and educate participants about all the funding opportunities for emergency preparedness resources.
Additionally, a webinar will be scheduled for a later date.
