Manual Tally Set for May 8 Special Election

Election within Dixie School District should be certified by May 18

San Rafael, CA – The Marin County Elections Department will start the manual tally of the May 8 special vote-by-mail election in the Dixie School District on May 14.

Following California Elections Code §15360, Marin County’s Election Official will randomly select the ballots to be counted. The random selection of ballots will take place on Monday, May 14 at 1 p.m. in the Marin County Elections Department, located in Suite 121, Marin Civic Center, 3501 Civic Center Drive, San Rafael.

The manual tally of the ballots selected will begin immediately thereafter and is a public process. Registrar of Voters Lynda Roberts said she anticipates certifying the election by May 18.
