San Rafael, CA – The deadline is 5 p.m. Friday, September 2, to apply for an at-large seat on the Marin County Planning Commission. Applicants must be residents of Marin County.
Appointed by the Marin County Board of Supervisors, the Planning Commission reviews and makes recommendations on all countywide and community plan elements and amendments, master plans, and rezonings. The commission has final authority (pending appeal to the Board of Supervisors) on subdivisions, design reviews, use permits, and other planning decisions appealed from planning staff actions. It also hears appeals of the findings of the Deputy Zoning Administrator and actions of the County's planning staff.
