San Rafael, CA -- The application deadline is 5 p.m. Friday, September 23, for at-large seats on the Marin Peace Conversion Commission. Appointments are made by the Marin County Board of Supervisors.
The Peace Conversion Commission was created by Marin County's voter-enacted Nuclear Free Zone law. It enforces the law that prohibits the County of Marin's investments in, or purchases of civilian products and services from nuclear weapons contractors and their subsidiaries, unless no reasonable alternative exists.
