San Rafael, CA - The application deadline is 5 p.m. June 19 for four at-large seats on the Marin County Parks and Open Space Commission.
The commission studies and recommends plans and strategies related to the acquisition, development, funding, and management of county parks and open space. The Marin County Board of Supervisors is looking for applicants with demonstrated expertise and interest in subject areas and disciplines beneficial to fulfilling the mission, such as:
• Education and outreach
• Natural areas preservation and management
• Recreation services and facilities
• Wellness and health care
• Philanthropy or fundraising
• Community planning and sustainability
• Financial management
The seven-member commission meets generally on the third Thursday of each month at the Marin County Civic Center in San Rafael. The commission may schedule additional meetings as warranted.
