San Rafael, CA – The Marin County Board of Supervisors is seeking an at-large volunteer for the county’s Measure A (Parks) Community Oversight Committee. The deadline for applications is 5 p.m. Friday, September 11.
Marin voters approved the Marin Parks, Open Space and Farmland Preservation Transactions and Use Tax Ordinance (Marin County Ordinance 3586) on November 6, 2012. The volunteer committee members review annual expenditures to ensure conformity to the Ordinance 3586 Expenditure Plan. They also assist staff in directing an annual audit and preparing an annual report that describes how funds were spent.
All committee members must be Marin County residents who are neither elected officials of any government body nor employees from agencies or organizations that either oversee or benefit from the tax receipts of Measure A.
