San Rafael, CA – The Marin County Elections Office needs poll workers to staff West Marin polling places at Inverness and Stinson Beach for the Primary Election on Tuesday, June 3.
Poll workers must be eligible to register to vote or be legal residents of California, have basic clerical skills and work from 6:30 a.m.to 9:30 p.m. on Election Day. The Elections Office holds paid training classes before the election and pays a stipend for Election Day work that ranges from $100 for clerks and $150 for chief inspectors.
Elaine Ginnold, Marin County Registrar of Voters, said several long-serving poll workers in West Marin have retired and few volunteers have stepped up to replace them.
“Working at the polls is a great way to meet neighbors and serve your community,” Ginnold said.
Call Precinct Coordinator Colleen Ksanda at 415-473-6439 for more information about working at the polls.
