A Clean Bill of Health
You came, you hacked, you succeeded.
A huge thank you to all that participated in Hack4Health, Marin County's first hackathon and a civic event focused on the public health of your communities. The event was sold out, having around 80+ kids coding away. From middle school to college, you gave it your all. Your day of fun was in service to the community and we thank you for spending your Saturday with us.
Your ideas, energy, and enthusiasm made the day a huge success. Teams were formed and brilliant, forward thinking, and creative ideas were developed into prototypes and working applications, a feat in itself. These apps and concepts delivered on the public health goal of the day and can be further developed to provide good to the community.
This event would not have been possible without the generous support of some many people. Our sponsors' generosity was top notch and the technical guidance provided paramount. Our technical and public health subject matter experts had their hands full relating complicated technical or health concepts to our audience. Our educators were there to support and mentor their students, making sure each and every group could be successful. Last, but not least, the encouragement of civic minded youth and support of this event from spectators and parents fostered our success.
