PLEASE NOTE: To qualify as a poll worker you must be either a registered voter in California or
a permanent legal resident of the U.S. aged 18 and over†, or a high school senior who is at least
16 years old. Being an elections officer requires a solid commitment to be at the polling
location before, during, and after the polls are open (7 a.m. — 8 p.m.)
on election day. IT IS A LONG DAY; from approximately 6 a.m. — 9 p.m.

NOTE: Inspectors are required to attend a training class prior to Election Day and
pick up election supplies. Inspectors must coordinate access to the polling place
on election morning and ensure that the polling place is set up and ready to
process voters at 7 a.m. and return the ballots to the Receiving Center on election
