San Rafael, CA – The Marin County Elections Department offers free audio recordings of the local measures on the June 5 ballot and of the state’s voter information guide.
As part of its outreach efforts, the Elections Department sends copies of the recordings, both local and state, to more than 30 organizations, including libraries, senior care facilities, and organizations that assist people with disabilities. “Reading printed information may be difficult for some voters, so we gladly provide CDs for those who prefer to listen,” said Lynda Roberts, Marin County’s Registrar of Voters. “We want all voters to have access to resources they need so they can make an informed decision when voting.”
The recordings of the local measures are also on the department’s website under the Voter Accessibility choice, and the page provides a link to the state propositions.
As a reminder, Regional Measure 3 will be on the ballot countywide. Other local measures will be on the ballot of voters who live in those specific districts, which include the Ross Valley School District, the Town of Corte Madera, the City of San Rafael, and the Stinson Beach County Water District. Registered voters can log into the Voter Information Portal for a list of districts in which they live.
To request the 2-CD set by mail, call the Elections Department at 415-473-6448, or stop by the Elections Department in Suite 121 of the Marin Civic Center, 3501 Civic Center Drive, San Rafael. Weekday office hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
