The Capital Projects Division is responsible for capital improvements and major maintenance of all County buildings and infrastructure. Additionally, we implement the design and construction of accessibility improvements at County facilities as part of the annual Capital Improvement Program, and for other County departments with large capital projects.
Additionally, the Capital Projects division oversees two small sewer maintenance districts, the Murray Park Sewer Maintenance District and the San Quentin Village Sewer Maintenance District.
All projects are bid competitively in compliance with the California Public Contract Code. Detailed bid packages are available for each project and can be purchased for a nominal fee at the Marin County Civic Center, 3501 Civic Center Drive, Room 404, San Rafael, California. Each specific bid package contains the following:
- Place to submit bids
- Time bids are due
- License requirements
- Short project description
- Prebid conference info
- Engineer's cost estimate
- Location to purchase specs and drawings
- Cost of drawings, specs & other bid documents
- Bid bond requirements
- Prevailing wage rate requirements
