MCSTOPPP/STRAW Restoration Project

Raul M. Rojas, Director, Public Works

MCSTOPPP partners with PRBO Conservation Science's Students and Teachers Restoring A Watershed (STRAW) Program each year to educate Marin County students that we all live in a watershed, the importance of riparian habitat and it's effects on stream health, and how they can make a difference. It is a two part program that involves in class presentations followed by a hands-on restoration day in their local creek. The students remove non-native invasive species, plant natives, and install dri-water irrigation.
